A mortified stadium announcer made the fatal error last night of confusing the visiting team Manchester City with Manchester United. During the game between Manchester City and Schalke 04 she politely asked that all Manchester United
fans stay within the stadium after the match has finished on the stadium tannoy. This led to groans and grunts from the City fans, probably this biggest insult possible. A few moments later she made an apology for her mistake.
After Last nights performance and the 2-0 win to Manchester City, I am sure she will not be forgetting them in a hurry.
